Description
It is a non-ionic surfactant, mainly used as an emulsifier for water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions, as well as a stabilizer for microemulsions and multiple emulsions. It can be used as a solubilizing agent for essential oils, perfumery chemicals, vitamin oils and low water-soluble drugs, as an antidusting agent for powders, as a wetting and dispersing agent for coarse-grained liquids, and as a detergent, especially for shampoos, face cleansers and similar cosmetic cleaners, as well as a gelling and foaming agent.
