Description
N-Methylmaleimide (CAS# 930-88-1) is an electron deficient olefin that acts as a thiol-blocking reagent in living human cells. N-Methylmaleimide also has the ability to undergo free-radical homopolymerization, and is used as a model for resins that contain the maleimide functional group.
