Description
Chloro(1-tert-butylindenyl)[2-(dicyclohexylphosphino)-2',4',6'-triisopropyl-1,1'-biphenyl]palladium(II) is a palladium precatalyst featuring an η³-1-tert-butylindenyl ligand and a t-BuXPhos phosphine ligand. The compound is a powerful precatalyst for cross-coupling reactions including Suzuki-Miyaura coupling, Buchwald-Hartwig amination, and α-arylation of ketones. It is particularly effective for coupling aryl chlorides with boronic acids and for C-N bond formation. The η³-1-tert-butylindenyl ligand prevents formation of inactive Pd(I) comproportionation dimers, enhancing catalytic activity. The compound is bench-stable and soluble in most organic solvents.
